The system’s large format 23 x 23-cm gels allow excellent resolving power.

The tube gel apparatus accommodates up to 15 first dimension tube gels and up to ten second dimension gels. The IPG pHaser simultaneously runs ten 18 or 11 cm IPG strips.

The system can be used with carrier ampholyte tube gels, IPG strips, pre-cast or self-cast gels.

Peltier-based chiller can be used for the first dimension IPG strips and second dimension running tank. Temperature variations anywhere in the chamber are less than 0.5° C.

The dedicated power supply is specifically designed for high performance 2-D electrophoresis. The focusing algorithm provides continuous volt-hour integration; shifts of voltage and current occur at pre-programmed intervals optimized for large format 2-D techniques.

Proteomic grade, ultra pure chemicals and reagents are available in standard or bulk quantities, or in pre-mixed containers and solutions. Precast gels are also available using our high tenstile strength acrylamide, Duracryl.
