Screw cap tubes are ideal for long term use in a variety of situations. Manufactured to the most rigid standards these can be used in extremes of temperature: from vapor phase liquid nitrogen through to boiling applications. The cap and O-ring are designed to be the perfect complement to the screw tube thus ensuring a perfect seal.

When the naturally low-binding properties of the virgin polypropylene are combined with the leak free seal and certified freedom from DNase, RNase and DNA, then these provide the ideal long-term storage solution. For your convenience, we also make styles of tubes with graduations at 100µl intervals and writing patches.

Tested to over 20,000 x G and certified free from DNase, RNase and DNA, screw microtubes are suitable for use in molecular biology applications. Due to the demands of the LAL test for pyrogens, only Sterile Tubes and Caps are certified Pyrogen free. These tubes are compatible with all commonly used centrifuges and with a wide range of racking and storage systems.

Both standard and tethered caps are fitted with a non-reactive O-ring. The ring works with the tube and cap design to form a leak-tight seal. Tethered caps offer a useful solution when it is important the same cap remains with the same tube.

The tether loop clicks into position on the tube collar giving complete rotation for convenience as well as the assurance of remaining with the tube. Both standard and tether caps are available in a wide range of bright and distinctive colors which enable easy tube identification.

SSI SCREW TUBES - AMBER

For applications which involve light sensitive solutions or samples, both screw tubes and caps are available in amber polypropylene. To order amber, substitute "-07" for the "-00" in the product code.
