Our Focus
BST Scientific's main focus is in the distribution, sales and marketing of life sciences products and related services in Singapore and it's surrounding countries. We seek to act as a bridge for researchers here with the manufacturers and service providers of the life science industry elsewhere.
Started in 1998, BST Scientific grew rapidly to serve the life sciences research community through it's mixture of excellent technical support and customer focus. We differentiate ourselves from other distributors by concentrating only in the life science market, and with it comes an in-depth knowledge of the local market conditions and needs.
Our Market
Our target markets are the Research Institutes, Universities, Hospital and the private enterprises that are involved in life science and biomedical science research. Our goal is to help these researchers answer the fundamental questions in biology and medicine.
Our Partners
Since its formation, BST Scientific has partnered with leading manufacturers of life science products to bring to the local research community the tools needed for their research. Most of our partners in this regard are overseas manufacurers due to the nascent nature of our industry in this region. You can see them listed under our Agencies page.
Manufacturing
In 2002, BST Scientific's manufacturing arm was spun off to become 1st BASE Pte Ltd, one of the few local manufacturer and service provider to the research community in the ASEAN region. There are a few places in which both BST Scientific and 1st BASE collaborate, especially in the store/freezer programmes in Singapore where both companies operate under a common umbrella. Both companies also share a common logistic centre.
Overseas Expansion
In 2008, two sister companies were formed to enhance our coverage in this region. Axon Scientific Sdn Bhd with office in Kuala Lumpur was established to serve the Malaysian market. PT Genetika Science with office in Jakarta was established to serve the Indonesian market.
To reach out beyond these countries, we collaborate with our network of agents and dealers in the other surrounding countries. When the situation calls for it, we are also able to ship out items directly to any end-users in this region.
